lets grow - a really good childrens book
Jun 16th, 2008 by Peter Donegan MI Hort
I was in Douglas visiting my niece & [2 new] nephew[s] recently. I decided the best thing Uncle could do was find a good book store, some coffee and a Sunday Business Post. [here's the plug..] Douglas Book Store is an absolute gem. I love it dearly and now travel there just to get really good books for my library. Thank you for being individual.
This one in particular was €6.99, amazing value. Why do I like it? Its not boring. Simple. If it doesnt bore ‘you’ it won bore the nippers.
I grew up in 1980’s Ireland growing plants under my bed as one of eight children. But I found one person who encouraged and nurtured that enthusiasm in me. [This was when 'gardening' wasn't so fashionable and more often warranted a good hiding from the tougher 'men' in school!] Book like this weren’t available - but this is pretty much the stuff I started with!! Genius, child-like and amazing.
Naturally I got a copy for myself!! Pictured is Liam [my look a like] and my niece Faye. Daddy is installing Vinca Major to complete Sundays look!
Lets Grow by Barbara Taylor & published by Parragon in 2008
