so many times I hear people say they never knew we did this or that with relevance to ‘gardening’ of some form. This may sound like a sort of pitch - it’s more clarification - on the record.

Award winning landscape architect, Peter Donegan, is at it again. This year his show garden ‘Pour L‘amour de Jeux’ (For a love of the game) in Bloom 2008 will feature a 1957, 11 metre, pink, three storey pleasure cruise boat!

this picture [above] was taken at last years bloom in the park and emailed to me by a colleague after the June Bank Holiday weekend - That same colleague emailed me again today with the same title wishing me luck in this years Bloom 2008 with this photograph of myself and our new Taoiseach Brian Cowan….

yesterday was not the most usual of days in my horticultural career! This 1957, 33 foot, 7 tonne boat is the model Royal Cruiser IV that will be used in Bloom 2008, the garden show extravaganza in the Phoenix Park this June Bank Holiday weekend.

1. On setting up Peter organized six to nine months credit with four main suppliers; his accountant, a plants nursery, an agrochemical suppliers and a farm supplies shop.
2. Peter borrowed the tools for his first Job from a friend of his, a civil engineer.
